MilWood Group – Alideck

AliDeck is part of the Milwood Group, produce a range of aluminium metal decking and is the UK’s leading supplier of balcony components.

Alideck moved to their new site on the Medway City Estate business park and required a series of skip and RoRo containers during the refurbishment. AliDeck were also looking to increase recycling rates and lower general waste costs.

Solution

Midas conducted a site audit, provided AliDeck with consultancy services on all aspects of the manufacturing process. We were able to provide the team with recommendations for improvements including further segregation of their recyclable materials. A baler was put in place to enable AliDeck to produce mill-sized bales for collection.

From our audit the Midas Marketing team also designed and produced internal bins to aid the segregation of Dry Mixed Recycling in the offices. We supported this with a ‘Think before you Throw’ campaign.

Wood was generated from the alternative packing their suppliers had switched to saving on unnecessary plastic, we created a reuse area for staff to collect and use for wood burners at home.
